Like working behind the scenes? Help us out with administrative tasks like data entry, mailings, or documentation. Or take a shift managing our front desk at lunch.
Caring For Children
As a weekly neighborhood volunteer, you can join our community and participate in activities like reading, art projects, outdoor play, holding and feeding infants, preparing meals, and doing light household chores.
Minimum 6-month commitment. Must be 21+.Meal Delivery
If food is your love language, you can prepare a home-cooked meal, purchase a meal, or pick up donated meals from area restaurants to deliver to our children and caregivers.
Sorting Donations
We’re so grateful for all the basic needs donations we receive every day… but we need help sorting through them! Join us in our warehouse or pantry to help us get our donations to the children who need them.
Special Events
Our annual Gala and Chili Cook-Off require a lot of help from our friends. Volunteers like your help with with planning, invitations, registration, decorations, entertainment, live and silent auctions, set-up, and clean-up.

Your path to volunteering:
Submit an interest form.
Tell us about yourself, your availability, your interests and skills, and why you want to volunteer. We’ll review your interest form and invite you to attend an information session.

After the information session, we will send you an application. References and background check are required for individual volunteers.

Once your application is approved, we’ll get back to you with some available volunteer opportunities that might be a good fit for you or your group.

Attend a volunteer orientation session.
Orientations for individual volunteers are held quarterly.

Matching Gift & Volunteer Grant
Volunteer grant programs, also known as “Dollars for Doers” programs, are charitable giving programs set up by companies to recognize employees for giving back to their communities. Hundreds of companies offer volunteer grant programs with donations to Casa de Esperanza generally ranging from $10-15 per hour volunteered. Please take a few minutes to check if your employer (or your spouse’s employer) offers volunteer grants.
